Molyslip is used in ships when there is a need for an insulating layer between two metal surfaces. It can be used in different forms like, paste, glue or spray can. 

Grease is also used as an anti-seizing component in ships. It should be noted that not every grease, but there are many various greases that can tackle moderate temperatures.

Lubricating oil is used where anti-seizing components are not possible to use. For example, oil casings where lube oil is used in order not to spoil the oil. The bottom end bolt of the main compressor is coated with lube oil.

Vaseline / Petroleum jelly/ Soft Soap, are not used as anti-seizing elements but they are used if a requirement arises. These can’t be used under high temperatures and pressure. It is used with the specific demands by manufacturers in centrifugal bowl assemblies and screws used in them.
